The Spring/Summer '09 collection by Brit label Rani Jones (via SWSU) has got the be the hottest/sexiest Eco Friendly line I've seen-- probably ever! Its reminiscent of Herve Leger and his body-con bondage dresses and 80's Stephen Sprouse. What makes this collection unique and modern is that its mostly made out of totally "organic, sustainably sourced and eco-friendly materials". Nice.
PLT got a little shout out today in the New York Post. Our Filigree and Suede Earrings are hand-woven and come in three colors: Black, Ivory, and Red. They look cute dressed up or down. And they are super light weight! A great spring/summer earring.
Amongst a sea of "cool" labels out there-- Addidas has always been and will always be the epitome of classic cool. This Spring, Jeremy Scott and Addidas Originals have joined forces in a pretty sweet collabo. It's street, avant-garde, day, night-- everything goes. Love the flapper t-shirt/dress and cute fleece leopard hoodie.
The new Chanel No. 5 "short film" (aka commercial) debuted online yesterday exactly 88 years to the day Coco introduced the iconic and "best-selling scent" to the world. I love that Chanel goes above and beyond to keep their brand fresh and talk-worthy with these mini movies. And I especially love how beautifully they tell a story in about 2 mins. Nicole Kidman starred in previous spots directed by Baz Luhrmann that were very Moulin Rouge. This spot stars Audrey Tatou and model Travis Davenport and is about missed encounters between strangers on the Orient Express from Paris to Istanbul. The dreamy film is directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Amélie). I'm really excited and looking forward to seeing Audrey play Coco Chanel in Coco Avant Chanel coming out later this year. To see the full Chanel short film go here.

V Magazine has put out their first Swimsuit Issue shot by Mario Testino--and its pretty amazing. Gisele, Kate, Naomi, Daria, Eva, and Claudia each got a cover and a gang of model faves join them in the pages inside. The accessories are kept at a minimum for the most part, but we get a truly WOW moment with a sick chest plate by Tom Binns on Carmen Kass (top pic). It's part of his Future Fantastic Spring '09 Collection. Well done Mr. Binns, well done.
