Monday Muse: Karen O

Karen O is a total badass and has a voice like none other. She kills it once again on Mosquito, the latest by the Yeah Yeah Yeah's, and we love her for always being a true original on stage and off.

Snippets

Happy Friday! Check out some videos from around the web this week...

Cara goes Punk for Vogue's second installment of a short film series called "Punk Stories." See the first film with Dree Hemingway HERE.

Karl Lagerfeld: Zillions on Nowness.com.
If you could ask Karl Lagerfeld one question, what would it be?

Not crazy about this "Bling Ring" movie, but I do love me a Sofia Coppola film and the true story which the film is based on at least makes for an entertaining read.

This is pretty funny! Read all about it over at NYmag.

True Romance

I really enjoyed this article in the May issue of Harper's Bazaar profiling the Valentino designers, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli. Their designs are classic and beautifully restrained while at the same time, absolutely modern. Their Fall 2013 collection is magical!

Monday Muse: Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba is totally muse-worthy for her effortless style and for being an advocate of natural, eco-friendly living.  We love that! Check out her book The Honest Life for great tips and ideas on living a happy and healthier lifestyle.

About Fashion

Five favorite fashion films + 1 to look forward to!

Unzipped, 1995. Behind the scenes look as Isaac Mizrahi prepares for his Fall 1994 collection. Super funny and entertaining from beginning to end.

Catwalk, 1996. A documentary that follows Christy Turlington through the Spring shows in Milan, Paris and New York in the early 90s. Also features Kate Moss cameos in her very early days of modeling!

Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton, 2007.  Amazing look at different aspects of the fashion industry. It follows Marc Jacobs as he conceptualizes, designs, and shows collections for Louis Vuitton and his own line. Perfect and inspirational!

Valentino: The Last Emperor, 2008. A decadent look at Valentino's glamorous life and legacy as he prepares for his final show.  Simply beautiful.

The September Issue, 2009. Vogue and Anna! What else is there to say. Oh yeah, Grace Coddington is great and she pretty much steals the show.

The Director, 2013.  A behind the scenes look at Gucci and its creative visionary, Frida Giannini. Produced by James Franco and currently at the Tribeca Film Festival. Can't wait to see this one!!

Monday Muse: Madonna

Early 80s, Lower East Side Madonna is my favorite Madonna, so I'm loving "Madonna: A Transformational Exhibition," curated by Rock Paper Photo celebrating the icon, the city, and era that "made" her with a series of never before seen photos. Showing now thru May 12th at the W, Times Square, NYC.
